An academic and industry-oriented platform strengthening the interface between legal education and the legal profession, through collaboration, research and professional development.
BRIDGE – The Centre for Industry Engagement and Advocacy is an academic and industry-oriented platform dedicated to strengthening the interface between legal education and the legal profession.
It is a newly established Centre, founded with the vision of creating a vibrant space for collaboration, research, and professional development among students, faculty members, and industry stakeholders.
BRIDGE aims to promote practice-oriented research, education, and dialogue on the legal, regulatory, and commercial challenges faced by industry today. By creating a dynamic ecosystem, the Centre seeks to provide students with practical exposure, industry-oriented learning, and professional opportunities, ensuring a seamless transition from academia to industry.
BRIDGE is guided by a commitment to bridging the gap between academic scholarship and professional practice in the field of law. The Centre believes that legal education must not remain confined to the classroom but should actively engage with industry needs, inform decision-making, and address real-world legal and business challenges.
BRIDGE adopts a collaborative and forward-looking approach, recognising that law operates at the intersection of business, regulation, and society. It seeks to cultivate critical thinking, analytical rigour, and practical skills among students and faculty members. By fostering an environment of intellectual engagement and joint inquiry with industry partners, the Centre aims to prepare the next generation of legal professionals to navigate complex professional environments with confidence.
To become a premier centre for industry-academia collaboration in legal research, training, and advocacy, ensuring holistic student development and industry engagement.
BRIDGE works in partnership with law firms, corporate legal departments, regulatory bodies, and industry experts to facilitate joint research, consultative services, certification programmes, internships, and placement opportunities.
These collaborations enable the exchange of knowledge between academia and industry, and ensure that the Centre’s work remains relevant to the evolving needs of the legal profession.
By fostering collaborations, facilitating research, and equipping students with practical skills, BRIDGE aims to redefine legal education and professional preparedness, and to become a hub for innovative legal research, training, and career development.
